Treatment services in addition to Acupuncture

Other treatment modalities may be used (alone or in combination with needles) such as the application of heat by moxibustion (a type of incense of the warming herb Mugwort) to needles or certain points, the use of cupping (glass cups heated and applied to create suction in order to move fluids in the body), or the use of Tui Na, or Chinese massage.

Dietary or lifestyle changes may be recommended along with the treatment strategy.

Auricular acupuncture therapy, in which extremely fine needles or ear seeds are placed in the ear only is also available. Sometimes this is a suitable introduction to acupuncture for first time patients. In this modality the ear is considered a microcosm of the entire body with its own complete mapping of corresponding acupuncture points.

My classical training does not include the use of herbal prescriptions.
